Bern Interdisciplinary Skills and Simulated Patient Centre BiSS

Since September 2011, the AUM has been running the Bern Interdisciplinary Skills and Simulated Patient Centre BISS, with student-managed opening times from Monday to Friday (1 to 5.30 pm) during the semester. The BiSS manages and maintains various models and simulators for practising different clinical skills (e.g. models for breast examination, prostate palpation, subcutaneous injections, venous puncture, lumbar puncture). Besides the student-managed self-study, various regular teaching events also take place in the BiSS (communication training, mock OSCEs, Clinical Skills Training). For this purpose, in addition to simulators and models, permanently installed flat screens, video cameras and room microphones are available.

More information can be found directly on the BiSS website.
